Description
Scion combines coils of handmade paper and a thin slice from an elm tree trunk. The striations of the saw are visible on the surface of the wood. The paper-coil spirals imitate the growth rings in the wood.
Scion combine des spirales de papier fait main et une fine tranche de tronc d’orme. Les stries laissées par la scie sont visibles à la surface du bois. Les spirales de papier imitent les cernes de croissance de l’arbre.

Scion is a continuation of the artist’s linking of paper to trees.
