Description

Fruits d’hiver starts with a tight shot of old-style TV screen with video static or noise also known as “snow”. The artist can be seen in the reflection of the glass screen. In the next scene a figure walks into the frame, which we identify as a snow scape. She is pulling behind her a small chair on skies, on the chair is a small TV monitor sitting on a piece of fur. She walks across the screen, then towards the camera and then out of the frame. In the next scene we see a snow bank. A long knife cuts into the snow to reveal a hot loaf of bread. The knife cuts a slice off the end of the bread. The text Si vous voulez du pain beurre, vous devez retourner à la maison.
