Description
Standing on the Earth’s Crust is a four-colour lithograph of two feet with loosely sketched wings at their ankles. Below them is written “Standing of the earth’s crust, I am remembering its molten core.”
Statement
Standing on the Earth’s Crust points to the tenuous link we have with life, the fragility of humanity. I want to capture this realization by referencing the incongruity of going about our lives on the thin crust of the earth, while ignoring that its core is boiling magma.
