Description

Jack & Jill is a black etching of two arched acrobatic figures on rose-tinted paper. The female figure is balanced on the male figure. Plus and minus signs bracket the figures.

The print was made at the Sagami recherche et création in Alma, Québec, and came out of an invitation extended to Karen because she was the winner of the Abitibi-Price Paper Prize at the Biennale du dessin, de l’estampe et du papier 1997.

Statement

Jack & Jill is about balance in a couple. It is a play on the nursery rhyme of the same name.
