Description

In the work S/words, the letters of the word “words” are cut out of a piece of parchment paper. A paper cut-out of the letter ‘S’ is glued to the beginning of ‘words,” making the word “Sword”. The paper page is held by two pins at the top and floats off the wall allowing the light to pass through the cut out letters.

Statement

S/words continues my fascination with words and their malleability – words hidden inside words that create layers of meaning – a kind of one-word poem!
