Description

Theresa Morin is a sculptor who lives in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. As a writer she has contributed to regional journals. The human figure is central to her work with handmade paper, and this interest led her to curate The Paper Show. Presented at the Art Gallery of Algoma in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, in 1992, The Paper Show profiled work by artists Sharyn Yuen, Dorothy Field, and Nicole Dextras from British Columbia; Pauline Morier, Karen Trask, and Joyce Ryckman from Quebec; as well as Eva Ennist and Olga Philip from Toronto. Curated using selections from across Canada, the cohesive elements in the show were two-fold: each work was constructed of handmade paper and contained the human figure as an integral element.
