Description
Made & Remade Continually (Fait et refait en continu) is a figurative sculpture made of loosely woven strings of dictionary pages core-spun on steel wire. The piece is hung close to the ceiling. Two figures seem to be emerging down, out of a suspended net-like rectangular sheet: one only has a head and an arm, the other has a full torso. Another torso with arms, connected by a few threads, reaches up towards the net. The figures do not have hands. The arms and bodies seem to be coming undone at the edges.
Statement
Made & Remade Continually (Fait et refait en continu) references the characters in The Waves by Virginia Woolf and how people change and interact with each other over a life time.
