Description
Runoutta ohi mennessä is a version of Poésie de passage translated into Finnish. The work is a paper casting of the poem placed in a glass cupboard near a window in the Taidehalle, Helsinki in 2001.
Statement
The site-specific installation Runoutta ohi mennessä is a phenomenological activation of the ideas presented in the text of the poem – an interplay of shadow and light set in motion by an ever-changing natural light. It was also inspired by my understanding of languages as ephemeral and alive.
