Tout_rien is an inkjet print on paper of the artist’s hands holding the words Tout_rien. The words are made from a single white thread coated in matt medium.
Statement
Tout_rien is one of a series of three images of hands holding texts (the others are Stay Go and Yes_Non). The texts are all opposites, but the uniform visual treatment and, in this work, the string connecting the words suggests that these binary situations are not always easily divided along clean lines.
